The 7th Conference on Urban Water Environment and Ecology Development and Three Gorges Symposium on Environmental Technology kicked off in Suzhou’s Wujiang District on May 20. Nearly 20 academicians from home and abroad, about 50 experts and scholars, as well as representatives from nearly 100 well-known enterprises attended the conference.
The 2-day conference, which was jointly organized by Chinese Society for Urban Studies (CSUS) and China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), focused on hot topics such as “the status and trends of China’s water environment and water ecology” and “AI and water”. Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) like Qu Jiuhui, Duan Ning, Ren Nanqi, Deng Mingjiang, Yue Qingrui, Xu Zuxin, Wang Qiao, Ren Hongqiang, Yu Gang, Yu Hanqing and Li Hui, Andreas N Angelakis, academician of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA), as well as experts from multiple fields gathered together and had discussions to exchange insights and ideas on urban water environment and ecology development.
The conference also hosted forums and symposiums to showcase the innovative achievements in the field of water environment and water ecology.
